Visiting the land of LOVE BUGS.

SO those of you who dont know what Love Bugs are, [no not the cute VWs from the '60s] they are nasty little bugs that are in Florida. They were actually created to eat the mosquitos, but they dont. All they do is mate. Hence, LOVE bugs. So they just multiply and multiply and lay eggs, and they are EVERYWHERE, and you hit them with your car and so then they are all over your car. It is actually really disgusting.

So this is what they look like... not pretty. And this is a very realistic picture of what your car might look like after a day or so of driving around the Orlando area.

[obviously not OUR car] YUCK.

Anyway just thought I would share that little tid bit of information. :) NOW on to the good stuff!!
My beautiful Mother and very handsome brother Taylor came out to visit us (int he land of the love bugs) at the beginning of June! It was so much fun to have them here! We did tons of fun stuff! Poor Eric had to miss out on everything because he had to work.... boo. So mom and Tay got to go to one of my Dr. appts! It was not an ultrasound tho. BUT they did get to hear the heart beats! And watch me drink the nasty drink for the glucose test. I just guzzled that thing, and when I was finished my Dr. said "OH looks like someone has practice with chugging!"... ok super appropriate Dr. Balint... I promise I normally liked her. Anyway everything came back normal! We got to walk around Celebration!

I love and miss Celebration so much! There is not a whole lot I miss about Florida. Mainly just our wards, our friends, all of my Young Women, Celebration and 7/11s. Yep, thats about it. OH and the flea markets! My mom and I found some great finds at the flea market! Yay for finding old cheap furniture and refinishing it to make it yours and beautiful!

Drab dresser.....

Turned FAB. (I swear the lighting doesn't do it justice)
This is for Max and Kenley.

new sewing desk?! Ok fine talked me into it. (PS this is STILL a work in progress. Swear I will post pictures of the finished product as soon as I find time to finish it!) I also found some amazing chairs! We had to leave one chair behind in FL. BUT we got to bring one to Idaho with us! I will post a picture later. That one IS finished and we are using it in the babes room.

Taylor was only able to stay a couple days. And after he left is when mom and I really went crazy!! I swear we went to JoAnns at least everyday for 5 days. We had to just keep getting stuff! Luckily it was really close to where we lived. We found a lot of really cute fabric for blakents, carseat covers, and burp rags for the twins!

CUTE Covers! Oh thanks, I made them.

Also during this visit, my bestie Brittney teamed up with my mom to throw me a surprise BABY shower! WHAT?! How sweet of her! I LOVE HER!

I was SO surprised!!!!

Its a GIRL AND a BOY!

SO happy to have SUCH good friends!

LOVE each of these women very much! and MISS them!

CHECK out that CAKE!!! Courtesy of Mrs. Cassie Casperson! Baker Extrordinare. We ate TONS of cake....

Played games! MOM won!!!

And played more games! Eric is on the phone making EVERYONE crack up!

All in all I would say it was an excellent trip and well worth the drive out {for them, not for me}.
Until next time blogging world... Adios Amigos!

WHAAA?

Well my last post was in... May? Holy Moly where did the time go!? SO much has changed since then! I PROMISE I will get a really super good long post in ASAP with TONS of pictures. It might even be a little over board... but I mean, it is needed. ANY who, as soon as I get things uploaded I will update better, but for now.....
Here is a condensed version of our lives since May!!
.My mom and brother Taylor came out to Kissimmee to visit! It was so fun to have them here! We found cute fabric to make things for the babies and the flea market in Kissimmee is BOMB. Also they drove out a car for us to borrow! YAY for having two cars!
. We decided it would be best to move back to Pocatello! HA thanks for driving all the way out to FL mom and TAY!
. We packed ALL of our stuff (which you well know when I mean ALL of our stuff I mean our clothes, some decor, and thats about it. We sold our amazing bed and futon) into the Escape and our little Yaris. Eric drove across the country in the Escape while pulling the Yaris behind him! I was right around 32 weeks prego with TWINS and was too scared to drive across the country in case something happened! SO I had the luxury of flying home in one day!
.So we were officially Idaho citizens as of JULY 10th ish.
.August 11, 2011 best day of our lives! I had these cutie babies! I will save all the dets for another post! But lets just say my entire pregnancy was so perfect, I knew something had to go wrong! DONT worry, these little beans are as healthy as can be! Maxson James Massey was born at 12:51 PM he was 5lbs 7oz and 18 1/2 inches! Kenley Blake Massey was born at 1:02PM she was 5lbs even and 18 3/4 inches long! I cannot imagine my life without these little babes!
. Eric decided to leave his job (oh he got a job here at a car dealership, thats when we knew it was time for us to move back) at Dodge and got a job at Wells Fargo! He is on the management track! woot woot.
. Eric gets promoted!! Now he has to drive all the way out to American Falls, but it is only twenty min. and he is the only personal banker in his branch! AND he gets to speak lots of espanol.
. I have just been enjoying life as a stay at home mommy!
. Also I discovered pinterest.
. Also I run on diet coke.
OK short but sweet! I SWEAR someday soon there will be an update on each of these wonderful things that have happened to us!!

22 Weeks...

...That MEANS LESS than 18 left!

When are you due:
Sept. 9 2011 (Eric's 27th birthday!!) Most likely the TWINS will come in August tho, so we are kind of planning on that. Hopefully NO earlier than that.

How many weeks?
: Currently 22 Weeks and 3 Days

Was this planned or unplanned:
Unplanned/Planned?? We weren't really expecting to get pregnant, but we weren't really doing anything to prevent it either. :)

How much weight gained:
As of today...18 LBS! I am slightly torn between bursting into tears when ever I step on the scale, and JUMPING for joy! Because me gaining weight means these little munchkins are GROWING!!

Latest food craving:
Still craving MEXICAN. We had a girls night on Friday and we went to this amazing place called Abuelo's. And it was SO GOOD! I cant stop telling Eric that we REALLY need to go there!

Your top two name choices or baby's name:
We have decided on names!! We have been discussing names since before we were pregnant. Our BOY: Maxon James Massey. And our GIRL: Bentley Massey. Yes we want our daughter to have a middle name, BUT we haven't decided on one yet. BUT at least we have first names picked! We LOVE both of the names!

Worst Thing about being pregnant:
Not being as agile as before. It is seriously a chore for me to get in and out of bed . {And trust me it is A LOT, especially with potty breaks, and the fact that our bed is the ONLY piece of furniture to sit on in our apt at the moment.} Our bed is kind of high and I seriously am going to need a stool to step on before long.

Best Thing about being pregnant:
Ok as of right now I LOVE being pregnant! It is such an amazing experience! Plus with twins I get to eat 600 calories more a day! {its actually really hard trying to eat that much more a day!} My hair is beautiful and lush and GROWING! My skin, for the most part, is amazingly clear! Getting to feel my babies move inside of me! There are just so many great things about being pregnant! {I suppose I feel this way because I didn't have hardly ANY morning sickness. Lucky ME!}

The first person you told was:
Eric of course! He and I had equal parts in creating these babies! And plus I think he would be a little upset if I told anyone BUT him first!

Are you more scared or excited:
Excited! There are times when I get overwhelmed, but never really SCARED. I guess the only thing I am really SCARED about {Besides preterm labor}, is LABOR itself. Ideally I would LOVE to be able to do this thing all natural. I have heard so many WONDERFUL stories of natural birthing. BUT there is one thing hindering my desire, 50% of TWINS are delivered by C-Section. Keeping this in mind, I am going to just continue to HOPE for the best, but whatever NEEDS to happen, I will be fine with, of course. It doesn't matter HOW these babies get here, as long as they do safely.

Happy or mostly moody:
I think a good helping of both. Maybe not MOODY, more just emotional. I dont really get MAD about things. But I do break down and have a really good cry about once a week, usually I just start stressing about things, or my feelings will get hurt, or I get home sick. But otherwise I am pretty HAPPY!

You pee an estimated __ times a day?:
Including night time potty runs... probably about 15-16 times a day. I HATE IT! At my last dr. appt they found out that I had a UTI, apparently I wasn't drinking enough water. So I have been really good about drinking my 8 glasses+ a day. And all of this pressure on my bladder makes it so I have to pee all the time. I know it is good to have this much water. And normally I drink more that that! But just knowing what will happen makes it horrible. :)

Weirdest dream you've had since pregnant?:
I have an insane dream probably every other night. Just the weirdest, most life-like dreams! I cant remember any specific ones because there are SO many!

Will you breast feed:
YES. I hope so. It will be a challenge for sure with two! But I really want to give it a shot and see how it goes.

From TUMS to TUMMY Butter.

21 WEEKS! MORE than HalfWAY there! WOOT WOOT!

Total weight gain: 16 LBS! I have read that for a twin pregnancy, the usual weight gain is between 35-45 LBS. Well on my way I am sure.
Maternity clothes: I finally broke down LAST week and bought some Maternity Pants, already had some tops. I was pleasantly surprised how COMFORTABLE the pants were! A much better fit than my size 28's held together by a hair tie!

Stretch marks: None. Yet. Thank goodness. I am putting TUMMY BUTTER on my bell at least 3 times a day! I know it is most likely inevitable, but as long as I know I did everything I could to prevent, maybe then I won't be so sad when it happens!

Sleep: Essentially, nonexistent. I have to sleep with a pillow for my head, a pillow for the belly, one between my legs, and one at my back so actually stay put. Apparently I like to move around A LOT when I sleep. In fact I think Eric has been sleeping a lot better now that I am confined. No more suddenly waking up to me kicking him, kneeing him in the back, or elbowing him in the face. I feel like he is secretly grateful. Also, I cannot get comfortable whatsoever. And by the time I actually do, I wake up to go to the bathroom, or get a sudden Heart BURN attack and have to scrummage around in the dark for some trusty tums! And the whole process starts again. :)

Best moment this week: So I have been able to feel our babies moving around for a couple weeks now! And Eric get so jealous! And he will send me texts when he is at work, asking if they are kicking and moving around. And then as soon as he gets home he asks if they are moving, he just wants to feel them so bad! SO the other night we were laying in bed, I was reading and Eric was on his phone and I felt some movement! Grabbed his hand and put it on my bell, and he was able to feel it!! He got SO excited about it! I loved seeing him like that! He is going to be the BEST daddy!

Movement: These little monsters move around a TON! It is so fun for me to feel them moving around! Yesterday I had another Ultrasound (I get to have one every MONTH!), and it was so cool to see how much they move! Our baby boy is pretty active, moving around quite a bit. And his feet are actually right at our baby girls little face and I was just watching him kick her over and over again!!! So sad! They are already fighting! And our baby girl moves around a lot too! It has been hard to get a good picture of her during ultrasounds.

Food cravings: Haven't had a whole lot of crazy ones thankfully. What I actually crave a lot is Regular Coke. I have been cutting back a ton on soda for the past 2 years-ish. And when I do drink soda usually go for Diet Coke, or Mt. Dew. NEVER Regular COKE!! So weird for sure. Oh and I crave Mexican Food. ANYTHING mexican.

Gender: Definitely a boy and girl!

Belly Button in or out: Haha it is actually halfway popping out!!! It feels so weird.

What I am looking forward to: Well besides of the obvious (meeting these babies!). I am SO looking forward to my NEXT Ultrasound Appt. I LOVE seeing my lil monsters! Also I know it is a long way off, but I am really looking forward to running again. I keep reading about all of these super fun races, and I just want to participate!!! I am getting antsy for sure! NEXT Spring will be wonderful!

Our beautiful baby BOY!

3D Pic of our SON! Stinking cute. Haha actually I always think these are so weird.

Our PERFECT little Princess!

Our Daughter waving HI!

Ok so this is my FAVE. You can see our little girls face right there in the center, and then you see our sons FEET kicking her!! Good thing she is tough!

Eric thinks this if the funniest pic. But I had to show you my belly button!! It is the weirdest thing! It is only half poking out! Haha.

Prego + Humid HEAT= No Bueno.

SO time for an update!! :)
To start off, I really have ZERO motivation for this right now. I don't know why, but I would really rather be doing ANYTHING else than this. BUT I honestly have NOTHING else to do. (Well not HONESTLY, I could probably scrub our tub, clean our bathroom mirror, find someone to borrow a vacuum from, or something along those lines. Not fun.) And it is SO freaking hot here and the HUMIDITY is KILLING ME! Not a fan of 99 degree weather, and I will admit I walk around our apt in my skivies. In the last 3 and a half weeks in addition to me reading the first three books of the mortal instruments series (a day and a half for each), we had some interesting things happen! I will list the TOP 10.

1. We finally found somewhere to live within our ward boundaries that was affordable and SAFE.

2. We moved INTO our new ONE bedroom apt. That is correct. ONE bedroom.

3. We bought a NEW bed. We really needed one, seeing as how our bed and ALL of the REST of our furniture is in a storage unit in UTAH. That is correct, the ONLY piece of furniture we have in our humble abode is a very comfortable king size bed. No chairs, no table, no TV, no couches... Nothing. We have been very creative using storage containers as a makeshift table while sitting on the floor. An adventure for sure.

4. We had a slightly expected announcement at Stake Conference. A couple wards in our Stake were changing boundaries, ours included. We had anticipated this, therefore we found the perfect spot to move, or so we thought. The boundaries were a LITTLE different than anticipated. And our new abode is now in a different ward. (remember my last post how I was going ON and ON about how much we loved our ward family and how Eric and I had wonderful callings and how I LOVED all of my Young Women???) Needless to say I was crushed. Overdramatic? Maybe. So our NEW ward took members from the Pleasant Hills Ward and the Hunter's Creek Ward so they could have more priesthood. The Kissimmee Ward was actually really struggling with their membership and had lost a lot of families in the last year. It has been SO hard for me to accept this change! I KNOW Heavenly Father knows what he is doing and has a plan, but we just LOVED our Pleasant Hill Ward family SO much. And it really was one of the ONLY reasons I was ok living so far from our families for so long. BUT I am thankful for the wonderful friends we met BEFORE all of this happened! We have such a great group of friends here! And I am praying for my heart to be softened EVERYDAY toward this new ward. :)

5. We went to our OLD ward's Ward Camp Out. Camping here in FL is quite different than it is in Idaho. All of the plants are different, and all of the bugs are different. We didn't spend the night but we stayed til Midnight playing games around the campfire with some really great people!

6. I FINALLY broke down and bought maternity pants. Surprisingly comfortable.

7. Our good friends the Giddings' held an Easter Egg hunt/ Pool party for all the cool people in the ward (old ward). It was SO much fun! I loved hanging out with all our friends and their kiddies. Ashley did such a great job hosting! There were the cutest Easter decorations, and a delicious potatoe bar! Sad news: THEY are moving to California in less than 2 weeks! Really sad to see them and their tender little girls leave!

8. Easter Dinner at the Jacox's home! It was nice to be around friends for the Holiday! Brittney really is such an amazing host! She always has delicious food, and fun games for everyone to play! She even set up an Egg Hunt for the kids! She is wonderful! And I am SO thankful for her friendship!

9. I made and succeeded with my VERY first CARROT CAKE made from SCRATCH. Well my very first cake made from scratch. I was nervous because I brought it to the Easter Dinner, and I knew I would have some critical dessert conisours their. SUCCESS.

10. I had a Dr. Appt last week, all of my blood work came back NORMAL. And the babies seem to be doing great. THEN I had an Ultrasound appt with a High Risk Dr. and the babies LOOK perfect! Everything looks excellent. With twins I get to have an ultrasound once a month. And I get to go to the Dr. every 3 to 4 weeks. I LOVE getting to see our babies!!!

Also, we went and saw RIO and it was really cute! We love kid movies now.

I really should update more often, all that I have written would have been a decent post, BUT I have pictures! Enjoy!!

18 Weeks!!

Our tiny car, with our HUGE bed! The guys who were loading it could NOT stop laughing!

Almost 19 Weeks.

Me, Sabrina and Adassa. (I MISS THESE GIRLS!)

19 Weeks PREGO.

I really popped in the last 4 weeks!! :)

17 Weeks!!

The MIDDLE

So if you didn't know I am PREGNANT! with TWINS!! A BOY and a GIRL! Best NEWS EVER! We honestly couldn't be happier. And I swear I will put up prego pics as soon as possible! I am 16 weeks and 6 days! (apparently with twins they count the days a lot more than they do with singletons!) TOMORROW I will be 17 weeks! We are due on Sept. 9th. ERIC's BIRTHDAY! BUT the Dr. said they will most likely come a couple weeks early. Which is kind of scary! So I am trying to do everything the Doc says so I can be the best patient in the world! So just to kid of catch up other than the whole we will be doubling our family thing... We are still in Kissimmee, Florida. We LOVE, absolutely LOVE our ward family here! I think that growing up in the bubble know as Utah/Idaho, I took ward family for granted. And in Utah our ward kind of sucked. We never felt really apart of the ward. And here we are needed! There is so much missionary work going on here it is crazy! We love all three sets of missionaries in our ward! Eric is the Teachers Quorm Adviser. And I am the Personal Progress Leader for the Young Women. I LOVE my young women so much! Seriously cannot believe how awesome they are! Most of them wake up @ 430 everyday so they can get ready and go to seminary 30 to 45 min away from their house! THEN go to a long day of school! THEN any other activities that they are involved in!! They seriously ROCK. My family was here to visit just last week! And it was so fun hanging out with them! We went to Gatorland, and a couple baseball games and the parks of course. But the best part about having them here was just sitting around on the patio talking and laughing! I miss them so much! They are such a blessing in my life. And it really has been so hard being so far away from them. Especially now that we are adding two little munchkins to the mix I am sure it will be even more difficult. The reason we moved here in the first place was becuase Eric had this great job opportunity. That kind of fell through. UGH. Love when that happens. :) But he was able to find a really good job with Jackson Therapy. Basically he recruits Dr.s and Therapists and Nurses for offices. He really likes it so far. And they seem to really like him. And that is good. BUT because he took this great job, it looks like we will be staying here for a while. At least a year from now. But it could be longer. I am so torn because I miss being close to both of our families, but I absolutely LOVE all of the people we have met here! No one ever tells you all of the stress that comes with the knowledge of starting your own family! There have been so many things that I think about and just stress over! And since we found out it was twins that has DOUBLED! :) So has our JOY. But yesterday I was talking to a good friend and she said "Aubrey, Babies Bring Blessings!" It was the perfect thing I needed to hear! So from here on out I will be less stressed, more humble, more prayerful, and let Heavenly Father take it from here. SO I have always loved Jimmy Eat World. And while packing and listening to Pandora this song came on, Acoustic none the less. (I am a sucker for anything acoustic) And I feel like it fits perfect to my situation! :) well maybe not PERFECT. but pretty dang close!
Hey, don't write yourself off yet It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on. Just try your best, try everything you can. And don't you worry what they tell themselves when you're away. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). Hey, you know they're all the same. You know you're doing better on your own, so don't buy in. Live right now. Yeah, just be yourself. It doesn't matter if it's good enough for someone else. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). Hey, don't write yourself off yet. It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on. Just do your best, do everything you can. And don't you worry what the bitter hearts are gonna say. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).
